Welcome to Midland First United Methodist Church! We’re glad you have decided to visit us and we want to make you feel comfortable. Below is some information you may find useful.
Midland First United Methodist Church is located in downtown Midland, Michigan.
Entering the Church Building
We have two main entrances into the building, one located on Larkin St. at the back of the church, and the main doors on Main St. at the front of the church. Sunday morning greeters are stationed at these entrances before both worship services. Besides offering a friendly greeting, they can direct you to the Sanctuary or childcare if you need it. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. If the greeter doesn’t know the answer, he or she will certainly know where to find it.
Children & Youth
For more detailed information, visit our Children & Youth page.
What to Wear
Attire for traditional service (first service) is mainly dressy casual, while our Worship and Praise (second service) is more casual, however, we invite you to dress comfortably whenever you worship at our church.
If you’ve joined us for our 9:00 am worship service, join us for refreshments at 10:00 am in Fellowship Hall (located directly below the Sanctuary), and then head to a 10:15 am Sunday School class. Planning on attending our 11:15 am service? Why not come early at 10:00, get a cup of coffee, and try out a Sunday school class before worship?
The Welcome Center
Have questions? Need information? The Welcome Center is located in the Parlor near the main entrance to the Sanctuary, and is a great resource for our members and guests alike. Staffed by a friendly and knowledgeable church member, this is the place to find brochures about Methodism or information about FUMC’s programs and activities.
If you have further questions, please contact Tonya Simons, or 835.6797 ext. 110.
