“One Week, One Street”
You can make a difference!
June 19-23 | Ruckle Street, Saginaw, MI

“One Week, One Street” is a week-long opportunity to serve our neighbors in the city of Saginaw, by giving help and hope. The focus this year will be on clean-up and beautification of Ruckle Street between Bagley and Genesee. Volunteer with friends to paint, fix-up, plant gardens, and restore pride to the street. Meet in the church parking lot at 8:00 am; we’ll return by 5:00 pm. Work one day or all week; lunch is provided.

In the past four years One Week One Street has gradually reduced crime in the neighborhood by 80%!

Here is a sample of work that has been done from 2013-2016.

  • 102 houses were painted
  • 2 Community gardens were made
  • 7 vacant lots cleared
  • 2 play structures installed
  • 1 youth café built
  • 1 park with pavilion
  • 141 houses landscaped
  • over 19,500 volunteer hours

This service event is organized by a team whose mission is to help people and communities in our local area and invite others to share in the joy of serving. For more information, contact Duane Townley, , 835.7564.
